Carmen Luz "Mel" Santana

SANTANA, CARMEN LUZ "MEL", of Paterson, born December 5th, 1958, at the age of 65 peacefully transcended to the afterlife on May 10th, 2024 surrounded by beloved family.  Mother of 6, grandmother of 20, and great-grandmother to 11.  She was loved dearly and was a true Puerto Rican mother.  She did not have much but would take the shirt off her back to ensure everyone else was good.  Old fashioned, stern but loving. She was always reaching out trying to keep the family together as it should be.  Looking over us now she will be missed.  And when it is our turn she might just greet us with a cup of coffee.  May she rest in peace.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, May 14th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Manke Memorial @ Scillieri-Arnold Funeral Home, 351 Fifth Avenue, Paterson.   A Funeral Service will be held during visitation at 7:00 PM.  Entombment, Wednesday, May 15th at 10:00 AM at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
