Clara Howard

HOWARD, CLARA, 76, of Paterson, NJ departed this life peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022, due to a brief illness. She was born June 7, 1946, to the late James and Alice Howard in Park Dale, AR. Clara attended school in Atmore, AL where she went to live with her family. She was a former member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Paterson for many years and then joined Church Temple on Hamilton Avenue, Paterson.

Clara worked for C.N. Burman Factory for many years. She also worked as a Security Guard at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson, and the St. Joseph’s Health Day Care Center before retiring in 2016.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents James and Alice Howard, 3 brothers, William, Robert, and Joseph Howard. She leaves to cherish her memory 4 children, Sheree, Glenn, Terrance and Karen Howard all of Paterson. 1 Grandson, Darell Edmonds of Hanford, CA, 2 sisters Mary Howard and Willie Bell Howard of Paterson and a host of relatives and friends.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, August 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Manke Memorial @ Scillieri-Arnold Funeral Home, 351 Fifth Avenue, Paterson. A Funeral Service will be held during visitation starting at 7:15 PM. Interment Friday, August 19th at 10:00 AM at Fair Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fair Lawn.
