Michael “Mike” P. Malik, age 76, passed away on August 30th, 2022. Born and raised in Clifton, NJ, Mike was a lifelong resident of the area. After graduating from Clifton High School, Mike served in the Army stationed in Germany. For the last 20-plus years, Mike worked at Home Depot, most recently at the Totowa store.
Mike was the son of the late Paul and Edna Malik. He is survived by two children and their spouses, Ian and Amy Malik, and Christina and Jeremiah Dodson, and three grandchildren, William, Rebecca, and Avery. He was brother to Margaret Cook, wife of the late Walter Cook, and Carol Kirsch, wife of Philip Kirsch. He was Uncle and Great Uncle to several nieces and nephews.
The immediate family will gather privately to celebrate his life.
In Mike’s memory, a memorial bench will be placed at Garret Mountain Reservation, a special place that he enjoyed throughout his life and spent time with his children and grandchildren.
