GERARD, PATRICK MARION, 36, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
Born on August 12, 1985, to Kathryn Lee (nee Gorsuch) and Richard Wayne Gerard, Patrick was raised in Wilmington, Delaware. As a child, he enjoyed karate, basketball, swim team, and video games. He attended Concord High School, graduating with the class of 2004. Patrick then obtained a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Delaware. While there he was a proud member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. He recently completed a Paralegal program. After college Patrick worked for Corporation Service Company serving in numerous positions. He really enjoyed working in domain name administration and digital brand protection. He recently began working for MarkMonitor-Clarivate.
Patrick was a lover of music and listened to all genres. He often introduced new music to his friends and family. He was well respected in the online gaming community and excelled in Heroes of the Storm and World of Warcraft. Patrick developed a love for fishing early on in life and enjoyed fishing at the Delaware beaches and the Outer Banks, NC. Patrick enjoyed sports and especially loved the Philadelphia Eagles. He was elated at their Superbowl win in 2018. He recently began enjoying Philadelphia Flyers games with his sister and her husband. Patrick was at his best when surrounded by his loving family and friends. He enjoyed the many barbecues, pool parties, and holidays at his house. His family will forever cherish those memories.
In addition to his parents, Patrick is survived by his sister Ashley (David) McBride, niece McKenzie McBride and maternal grandmother Mary Lou Gorsuch all of Wilmington, DE. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life service will be announced by the family at a later date.
