Richard "Ricky" D. DeGenaro

DEGENARO, RICHARD DANIEL, “RICKY”, 57, of Bronx, NY formerly of Manhattan and Woodstock, NY, and who grew up in Bogota, NJ died peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Beloved brother of Lauren & her husband Akram Khalifeh. Cherished Uncle of Steven & his wife Heather Khalifeh, Allia, Joseph, and great uncle of Lila and Noah. Devoted friend of Harry Kirn.
After graduating from the American Academy of Performing Arts Ricky worked as an Actor in various productions Off-Broadway in NYC, around the country, and who could forget his role as Tevye in the High School production of Fiddler on the Roof, and of Edna Turnblad in the Regional production of Hairspray! He was also an Event Planner for PRSA in the past. Belonged to Actor’s Equity and SAG. He was a member of the John Burroughs Association, and created programs to educate children and others about the life of the famous naturalist of the Catskills.
