John P.L. Manke (RN, BSN, Proprietor, Manager, Funeral Director), was born and raised in Upper Saddle River, NJ, and currently resides in Hawthorne, NJ with his beautiful wife Trisha L. (nee Greimel) and three children. John is a Registered Professional Nurse and worked for St. Joseph's Healthcare System, Paterson, NJ from 1997 - 2014. He has served in the funeral profession for over 29 years and his passion for helping people in their time of need is what motivated him to study both professions. 

John attended the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, in New York, NY. He completed his funeral service apprenticeship and continued to work for Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, Ramsey, NJ, where he learned the art and science of the profession over the next seven years. As of 2003, John has served as a licensed funeral director for Volk Leber Funeral Homes, in both the Teaneck and Oradell, NJ locations.

In 2014, John established Manke Memorial to meet the needs of the City of Paterson, and the Passaic and Bergen County, NJ communities by offering cost-effective professional funeral and cremation services. With John’s years of experience in caring for families from all walks of life, he has been able to reach out to the community with experience and compassion.

Each family comes to him because they know he is a leader in the profession and because he is dedicated to excellence in service and maintains the highest degree of integrity.
